Secure and Privacy-Preserving Computing for the Post-Quantum Era

The Secure Intelligent and Efficient Systems (SINESys) Lab at IISc is advancing next-generation cryptographic solutions for secure IoT and edge computing applications. The research focuses on post-quantum cryptography and privacy-preserving computation through efficient software implementations and hardware accelerators optimized for resource-constrained platforms.

Recent contributions include optimized pairing-based functional encryption for privacy-preserving edge analytics on Raspberry Pi devices, a unified FFT–NTT hardware accelerator supporting both signal processing and NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptography, and accelerated plaintext-ciphertext matrix multiplication for efficient encrypted computation. These innovations enable scalable, low-latency, and energy-efficient secure computing for future communication, biomedical, and intelligent edge systems.
